Founder Biography

Zuzanna started playing the violin when she was 6 years old. She began studying at the Stanislaw Moniuszko State Primary Music School in Katowice with professor Ewa Iwan, than in The Karol Szymanowski State Secondary Music School in Katowice with professor Arkadiusz Kubica. She graduated with honors The Conservatory of Music in Cracow where she was studying with professor Piotr Tarcholik. Zuzanna finished postgraduate studies at The Royal Conservatory of Music in Brussels in a violin class of professor Philippe Graffin.

Zuzanna has participated in many competitions and she received prizes at

  • 2nd Prize at The International Music Competition "Premio Citta di Padova" in Padova (Italy, July 2013),
  • The International Competition of the Junior Instrumentalists in Slovakia (2002 ,7th Prize)
  • Special Prize at The State Competition for Young Artists – Music of XX & XXI century in Radziejowice (2007)
  • 2nd Prize at The Grażyna Bacewicz Academic Violin Competition in Katowice (2009) na Ukrainie
  • 3rd Prize at The International Independent Music Competiton “Individualis” in Ukraine (Lvov 2012) w Padwie we Włoszech.

She was also qualified to the 2nd round of The 7th Karol Szymanowski International Violin Competition in Łódź (2009) and to the Semifinal at The 4th International Michał Spisak Music Competition in Dąbrowa Górnicza (2010).

She received scholarship of Leopold Kronenberg Founation and played at the Prize Winners Concert at the State Competition for Young Artists - Music of XX & XX century in a Polish Radio Studio (Warsaw 2007) and she performed Edward Elgar Violin Concerto E minor as a soloist with The Silesian Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra – conductor Massimiliano Caldi (March 2008).

Zuzanna performed as a soloist and musician in chamber groups during The Ludvig van Beethoven Festival in Warsaw, The Festival for Young Masters Konzertverein Bodensee in Lindau, The Festival Pablo Casals in Prades, The Aurora Varfestival in Sweden , The Lucerne Festival, The Tauron New Music Festival Katowice, Katowice City of Music Unesco Festivals : „My-Wy Żydzi”(Jewish Festival), „The Katowice City Birthday” She has been working temporary as a tutti player in such orchestras, as : Mannheimer Philharmoniker, National Polish Radio Orchestra from Katowice, Orchestra Aukso, Beethoven Academy Orchestra, Corda Cracovia.

Zuzanna has participated in many violin courses, such as: The Beskidy Violin Workshop in Rycerka Górna in 2005, 2006, 2009, 2011– violin class of professor Piotr Tarcholik, The Music International Workshop in Głuchołazy – violin class of professor Tomasz Tomaszewski (2008), The Master’s Music Review „Master Class” Pila - violin class of professor Bartłomiej Nizioł (2009), The Master Classes in Academy of Music in Katowice with professor Yair Kless, The Master Classes in Academy of Music in Kraków with professor Grigori Zhislin, Krzysztof Jakowicz and Levon Ambartsumian, The Violin Music Interpretation Master Class conducted by Prof. Igor Petrushevsky during The 16th Ludvig van Beethoven Festival in Warsaw (March 2012) , The Master Class “Aurora” conducted by Krzysztof Węgrzyn and Philippe Graffin (April 2012) and The International Academy of Music during Festival Pablo Casals in Prades- France where she has been working with Philippe Graffin, Prazak Quartet and Shangai Quartet (August 2012). She has been taking part in Masterclass during The International Violinfestival for Young Artists in Lindau (Germany, April 2014) conducted by Krzysztof Węgrzyn and Master Class during The Witold Lutosławski Festival Chain XII where she was working in Chain Ensemble conducted by Andrzej Bauer (Radziejowice-/Warsaw 2015) and she has participated in The Academy of Lucerne Festival in Switzerland (2017/2018). Zuzanna received several scholarships, e.g. : Scholarship for Young Talented Artists of the President of the Sosnowiec City (2008-2014), Scholarship of choice of audience for creative young people Stypendium z Wyboru organized by Foundation Absolvent.pl and sponsored by patrons such as : Ernst and Young, Mediacap, Sodexo Poland, KPMG and many others (II Edition 2012), Scholarship of The Ministry of Culture National Heritage in Poland (2013/2014), „Muzykogranty” – Scholarship from Miasto Ogrodów- Krystyna Bochenek Institution (2018), Scholarship „Supporting Cultural Initiatives” by the Sosnowiec City (2018), „Kultura w Sieci” (Online culture) by the The Ministry of Culture National Heritage in Poland (2020).

The artist except classical music is playing electronic music, world music, pop, house and many different music styles which makes her participate in numerous musical projects. She performed at The Tauron Festival Tauron Nowa Muzyka Katowice in 2018 and she is working with many artists and composers, such as: Urszula, Sebastian Riedel (Cree), Jef Neve, Uriel Herman, Piotr Steczek.

Zuzanna is working with Jan Kiepura Foundation and she is a member of The Polish Ecological Club –Scientific Council of the Małopolska District Board and she took part in the World Ecological conferences during COP24 in Katowice (2019). She is the founder of the musical impresari Artemuzo.
